Throughout the years, the Colonial Inn has served many purposes: storing munitions in 1775, a variety store, personal home, hoteland boarding house, and presently a historic inn with the luxury of modern day comforts.
Prior to SmartBooks the Colonial Inn struggled for many years to find a suitable accounting solution. They had tried consultants, new processes, and even changes to internal staff but still found themselves spending a significant amount of time and money on accounting with little to show other than untimely and inaccurate reports.

Even IT costs decreased as the Colonial Inn no longer needed to pay an IT firm to update its accounting systems and hotel software. With SmartBooks preparing financial statements, their banking relationships also have improved with betterterms on rates, loans, and lines.
